Ghulam is indeed a Bollywood action criminal movie directed by Vikram Bhatt as well as featuring Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherjee. It was released in India in 1998. That’s a remake of Vishesh Films’ debut film, Kabzaa (1988), which starred Sanjay Dutt and was inspired by Elia Kazan’s On the Waterfront (1954). Jatin-Lalit wrote the soundtrack for the film. Indeevar, Nitin Raikwar, Sameer, and Vinod Mahendra were all in charge of the lyrics. The tracklist for the movie sold 2.5 million copies in India, giving this the seventh best-selling Bollywood music album of the year.
Box Office India deemed the movie a success, with a worldwide gross of 242 million dollars.
Aamir runs on a rail track towards an oncoming train, that misses him by several feet as he hops off the rails in a scene from the movie. The one and only differential among Aamir as well as the train was 1.3 seconds.
This prank was actually carried out by Aamir. The 44th Filmfare Awards gave it the Best Scene Award, although Aamir afterwards chastised himself for undertaking such a risk.
Mona Shetty, that has a considerably higher-pitched voice, dubbed Rani Mukerji’s voice. When questioned if she was disturbed by the director’s choice not to use her voice inside the movie, she explained that her voice was dubbed since it “did not suit the role.”
Sudhandhiram is a Tamil remake of Ghulam (2000). The film is reminiscent of Marlon Brando’s 1954 Hollywood classic “On The Waterfront.” For Rs. 25 lakh, the remake rights were sold.
