Twinkle Khanna Hits Back At Troll Who Accused Her And Akshay Kumar For Not Donating Money During the Pandemic

Actor Twinkle Khanna recently took to Twitter and responded to a former retired IAS officer who criticised her for asking for a donation from others rather than making donations herself for the current situation.

Former officer Surya Pratap Singh commented on Twinkle’s Khanna’s tweet. He mentioned, “Twinkle Ji, your husband is among the richest artists in this country. Rather than pretending to help by collecting donations, it would have been better had your family shown a little more kindness.”

Twinkle Khanna also replied to his tweet. She wrote, “Have donated 100 concentrators toward this cause&in multiple other ways. As I’ve said before, it’s not about me or you but what we can do collectively for those in need. Sad that at this point, instead of pitching in, we expend energy in pulling people down. Stay safe,”

Recently in an Instagram post, Twinkle had urged her fans to donate toward procuring oxygen supplies for the Covid patients. She also stated that she and Akshay Kumar has procured and donated oxygen concentrators. The actress urged people to come forward and procure more oxygen concentrators.

Earlier, The actress mentioned that a friend messaged her who is looking for an oxygen cylinder for her grandmother. She further stated that it’s the story of our country, with friends, relatives, and strangers begging for air. She wrote, “Help them breathe When India is gasping for air, every little action matters, every contribution counts…we need your help to procure more oxygen concentrators largely for hospitals that are still desperately in need. Please…contribute.”

Earlier, Twinkle had also shared that she and Akshay have donated 100 oxygen concentrators to fight Covid-19. The actress, “Wonderful news-Dr Drashnika Patel & Dr Govind Bankani of London Elite Health through Daivik Foundation are donating 120 oxygen concentrators and as @akshaykumar and I have managed to get our hands on 100 as well, we have a total of 220. Thank you for the leads. Let’s all do our bit.”
