Facing backlash Over Turkey Visit Aamir Khan’s Production Accounts Replace Logos with Indian Flag before release of ‘ Sitare Zameen Par’

With just a fortnight left for the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, actor-producer Aamir Khan finds himself at the centre of a growing controversy. The Bollywood star had visited Turkey in 2017 and was photographed shaking hands with the Turkish President — a move that has sparked criticism online given the historically tense diplomatic equations between India and Turkey.

The archived picture resurfaced on social media, with several users questioning Khan’s “optics” just days ahead of his much-anticipated release. In an apparent move to control the narrative and reaffirm national sentiment, all official social media handles associated with Sitaare Zameen Par and its production house have replaced their profile pictures with the Indian national flag.
