Salman Khan has worked in many Sooraj Barjatya films. Reportedly, Sooraj Barjatya has cast Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher as best friends for life in his next movie, “Oonchai”. As per one of the film’s characters,”Salman ke bina Sooraj dhal jaata hai.” There were also reports that Boman Irani was to join Amitabh Bachchan in the film. But the same has not been confirmed as yet.
”Oonchai” does not have the typical Sooraj Barjatya’s vast cast and family drama. The film’s storyline will focus on the ups and downs in the friendship between the two actors. While Anupam Kher has been part of Sooraj Barjatya films earlier, Amitabh Bachchan is working with him for the first time.
Sooraj Barjatya has not directed any film since Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Also, in his entire career as a director, he made only one film (Vivah) without Salman Khan. “Oonchai” will be the second Barjatya film without Salman. Maybe there will be a guest appearance of Salman after all.
