Hollywood Heights: All that you should know about this Drama series

Hollywood Heights

From June 18 until October 5, 2012, at Nick at Nite and TeenNick aired the American family drama Hollywood Heights. The storey follows aspiring singer-songwriter Loren Tate (Brittany Underwood), whose life is forever changed when she comes paths with her rock star hero Eddie Duran. It is loosely inspired on the Mexican serial Alcanzar una estrella (Cody Longo). Jill Farren-Phelps, a six-time Emmy Award winner, executive produced the show, which was co-executive produced by Hisham Abed as well as Josh Griffith, who not only acted as head writer.

In May 2012, Sony Pictures Television as well as Televisa, the Mexican production firm that holds the rights towards the original serial, launched the series as just an international co-production. Hollywood Heights would air every evening at 9 p.m. EST until October, similar to the Latin American telenovela format. Before the 80-episode limited series’ official release on June 18, 2012, Nick at Nite aired the opening episode many times beginning on June 11, 2012. The show first aired at 9 p.m. on weeknights (EST). In May, the network reported the actor James Franco will play Osborne “Oz” Silver, an eccentric as well as cruel movie magnate, in a multi-episode plot arc.

Franco made his first public appearance on June 29, 2012. On August 13, 2012, halfway through into the series, this was relocated to Nick at Nite’s sibling channel TeenNick at 8 p.m. EST. A second season of the show wasn’t really picked up.

Loren Tate (Brittany Underwood) is indeed a high school student who aspires to be a singer-songwriter and to date Eddie Duran, a gorgeous rock star (Cody Longo). However, Eddie is dissatisfied well with route his career took, which has veered away from the emotional songs he enjoys. Eddie takes advantage of his manager and label pressuring him to write new songs for just a new album by launching a new contest in which he can work with a fan on a new single.

However, Loren is reluctant to enter Eddie’s contest, fearing that whatever song she creates would fall short of her idol’s expectations. Loren joins as well as wins Eddie’s music contest, and worlds clash, thanks to her cool single mother Nora (Jama Williamson) and snarky best friend Melissa (Ashley Holliday). Loren realises how miserable he is, stuck inside a machine about his own construction and also at the whim of his numerous followers and demanding manager Jake, as he is increasingly charmed by (and accepted into) Eddie’s fame world (Brandon Bell).

In the meantime, Loren as well as Melissa deal with high school drama and mean girl Adriana (Hunter King); Melissa’s brother Phil (Robert Adamson) gets himself mixed up with the wrong crowd; and Eddie’s father, 1980s musician Max Duran (Carlos Ponce), sincerely hope to end his son’s relationship well with duplicitous climber Chloe (Melissa Ordway), who’s really cheating on Eddie well with ambitious Tyler (Justin Wilczynski), a struggling actor.
