Mumbai: Ira Khan, daughter of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, is very active on social media. She often shares her photos and videos with fans on social media. She also talks about the issues of mental health and women’s development and also works for their welfare.
Ira recently revealed on her Instagram story that her mother Reena Dutta had given her a book on sex education. Ira also tagged the Augustu Foundation in her story. She told me that when she was moving towards adolescence, her mother gave her this book.
“I don’t think I’ve ever looked at myself entirely before. My mom gave me a sexual education book when I hit puberty and it had asked me to look at myself in a mirror. But I didn’t get around to doing it. But the body has also changed so much in general,” Ira Khan wrote in her story.
Ira Khan has given the title of this post ‘Be Curious’ i.e. have a desire to know things. Earlier, Ira Khan had revealed in one of her posts that she was sexually abused when she was 14-year-old. After that, she went into depression.
The start kid also wrote in her post, “I was sexually abused when I was 14 years old. So I didn’t know what was happening, but when I came to know, I walked away from it. Yes, I feel bad, I thought why did I let this happen to me, but it was not such a life-long shock that I would go into depression. I can tell friends and parents, but what to tell. They will ask me why? So what should I do? I’ll tell,” Ira said in her Insta story.
