The film, directed by one of the acclaimed director in Bollywood Rajkumar Hirani, grossed Rs 792 crore globally and Rs 340 crore in India, making it the year’s highest-grossing Indian film.

Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra produced it under their respective brands Rajkumar Hirani Films and Vinod Chopra Films. On the 19th of December, 2014, PK was launched. It got mostly favourable reviews, including an appreciation for Khan’s performance and the representation of superstitions.
