Which country has the best movies? – Check out to know details

best movies

In 2021, 132 countries submitted nominations for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. As a result, we may reasonably estimate that 132 nations produce movies (probably more). The top 5 countries that have the best movies are –

1. United States of America (USA)

There isn’t much to say about this. It is not an exaggeration to state that the United States is the centre of the film industry. Yes, it creates a lot of garbage every year, but let’s not forget that for the past 100 years, it has been making high-quality films and the best movies every year.

2. France

For good reason, France is known as the cradle of film. France was responsible for several of the most significant advancements to the filmmaking industry throughout history. Aside from being the real flagbearer of cinema, France is also the world’s third-largest film market in terms of admissions.

The list is enormous, but I’d like to highlight a few key figures who inspired – and continue to influence – filmmakers of many nationalities: Robert Bresson, Jean-Luc Godard, François Truffaut, Jean Renoir, Jean-Pierre Melville Directors such as Jacques Audiard, Abdellatif Kechiche, and Olivier Assayas have carried on the rich tradition of French film in recent years.

3. Italy

Here are some interesting facts regarding the Italian film industry. Italian films have won 14 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film, the most of any country, and 12 Palmes d’Or, the second-most of any country, as of 2016. The growth of Italian cinema occurred throughout the post-World War II and post-Fascist era, with filmmakers such as Luchino Visconti, Roberto Rossellini, and Vittorio De Sica making films.

4. United Kingdom

It’s tough to tell if a film was filmed in the United Kingdom or the United States because virtually all British films are in English. However, this does not negate the United Kingdom’s contribution to film. The UK’s single most significant contribution has been the massive number of performers and directors it has sent to Hollywood.

5. Sweden

Sweden would have landed a spot on this list even if it had only produced one director, Ingmar Bergman. Victor Sjöström, Lasse Hallström, Roy Andersson, Bo Widerberg, and Jan Troell are just a few of the great film directors that have come out of Sweden. Swedish cinema rose to popularity in the 1950s with the advent of Ingmar Bergman, who swept the world of film and is now regarded as one of the best directors of all time. Bo Widerberg and Jan Troell, two more filmmakers from the 1960s, elevated Swedish cinema to even higher heights.
