“No, He Didn’t Offer Me ₹8 Crores”: OMG Movie Director Shuts Down Shocking Rumours Around PK

Were crores offered to halt Akshay Kumar’s OMG? Director Umesh Shukla has finally broken his silence. In a candid interview, Shukla addressed the long-standing rumour that PK producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra allegedly offered him ₹8 crores to stop the release of OMG – Oh My God! due to overlapping themes.

Dismissing the claims, Shukla clarified that while similarities existed — much like any two love stories sharing the words “I love you” — no such deal was ever made. “These were just baseless rumours,” he asserted, adding that industry stalwarts like Chopra, Aamir Khan, and Rajkumar Hirani wouldn’t stoop to such tactics. “They’re too talented and evolved for that,” he added.

With the past now laid to rest, Shukla is moving ahead with a new project, Oh My Dog, a heartwarming film aimed at kids and animal lovers — and potentially featuring Pankaj Tripathi!
