Making a film is an adventure in and of itself. The cast and crew become one family and the set becomes a home as you shoot day and night to bring the directors’ vision to life. As a result, it’s only right that major occasions be also commemorated with this family. Pippa’s sets recently experienced such an event. Pippa is a new war film starring Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur as the main characters. The entire Pippa team celebrated the birthday of the film’s director, or as they dubbed him, the commander-in-chief Raja Krishna Menon, on Tuesday.
The official account of the production business Roy Kapur Films published the images of the event. All of the team members could be seen gathering around director Raja Krishna Menon, who was standing in front of his double-decker cake, in the photos. Pippa’s film set, which included a war tank, could be seen in the background. A close-up of Raja and Ishaan was one of the photos. They appeared to be having a great time together. Overall, it appeared that the entire crew had a fantastic birthday celebration. While we were unable to locate Mrunal, she shared the photo on Instagram and expressed her gratitude to the filmmaker.
Pippa is based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. “Pippa has showed me such a terrific time and enriched me as an actor,” Mrunal Thakur remarked in an interview about her experience shooting for Pippa. As part of my research, I had a lot of fun reading about the time period. It’s an honour to be a part of a film that portrays an Indian win through the lens of personal experience.”
Pippa stars Soni Razdan and is produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films.
