Pushpa, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, as well as Fahadh Faasil, has had a fantastic reception from audiences all around the country. The film, which was first produced in Telugu, was also released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The Hindi adaptation of Pushpa astonished everyone with its box office success in the Northern region. At a post-release gathering for Pushpa, main actor Allu Arjun thanked the North Indian audience for their support and vowed that the sequel will be published in as many Indian languages as possible.

Allu Arjun revealed during the success ceremony for Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 that they tested the waters by releasing the Hindi version of Pushpa and were pleasantly delighted by the result. “We were thinking that we want to release this film in Hindi, but we weren’t sure. Because we didn’t have the time to do publicity. We didn’t know how much of it will convert. I know there is a pulse, which I’ve been seeing for the last five years on YouTube.”

Allu claimed that the Hindi dubbed versions of South Indian films receive the most YouTube views. “Who are these folks who are viewing these flicks all throughout India’s heartland?” Is it merely satellite and YouTube for them? “Are they even going to the theatres?” he wondered.

“I somewhere had a belief that you know so many people are watching they might come to the theaters. But we don’t know for sure. As testing waters to see if the audience which I’m seeing on YouTube and on satellite, which is humongous numbers, will they come to the theaters. I wanted to test waters with Pushpa and believe me thank you to the whole of North India, you proved we are just not going to love us through digital mediums but we will come physically to the theaters to admire you. Thank you so much for that. Thank you every distributor of mine for taking me into other languages,” he further said.

Allu Arjun also revealed that with Pushpa 2, they intend to expand the number of languages. “I intend to release Pushpa 2 in the most languages ever attempted in Indian film.” If at all feasible, we want to speak to the audience in their native tongue. He said, “We want to penetrate your hearts.”
