Jennifer Connelly

Jennifer Connelly is indeed an actress from the United States who started out as a child model. Before making her cinematic playing debut in the crime picture Once Upon a Time in America, she worked in magazines, newspapers, as well as television advertising. Connelly proceeded to model and perform in movies such as Phenomena (1985), Labyrinth (1986), Career Opportunities (1991), and The Rocketeer (1995). She received great recognition for her role as a heroin addict in Darren Aronofsky’s 2000 drama Requiem for such a Dream and also for her work inside the science fiction picture Dark City (1998).

Jennifer Connelly received Best Supporting Actress there at 74th Academy Awards for her depiction of Alicia Nash in Ron Howard’s movie A Beautiful Mind (2001). Following that, she starred as Betty Ross inside the Marvel superhero blockbuster Hulk, as well as in the horror-thriller Dark Water (2005), the drama Blood Diamond (2006), the scientific fiction movie The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008), the romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You, as well as the biographical Creation. She has minor roles in Darren Aronofsky’s epic feature Noah (2014) as well as the action thriller Alita: Battle Angel in the 2010s (2019). She will be seen in the TNT dystopian television series Snowpiercer beginning January 2020.

In 2005, Jennifer Connelly was appointed as an Amnesty International Ambassador for Human Rights Education. She has appeared in advertising for Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton, as well as Revlon cosmetics. She was dubbed the Shiseido Company’s first worldwide face in 2012.

She has been named to lists of the world’s most beautiful women by magazines such as Time, Vanity Fair, and Esquire, as well as the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

Connelly’s father’s friend, an advertising executive, recommended she audition as a model when she was 10 years old. Her parents just sent out a photo of her to the Ford Modeling Agency, which put her on its roster immediately after. Connelly began her career as a model for print ads before going on to television commercials. She claimed in an interview with The Guardian that after doing some modelling, she had no desire to pursue a career as an actress. In 1986 and 1988, she was featured on the covers of many editions of Seventeen magazine. She recorded two pop songs for the Japanese market in December 1986: “Monologue of Love” and “Message of Love.” Because she didn’t know Japanese, she sang in phonetic Japanese.
