Shahid Kapoor admits that working with Pankaj Kapur as an actor is far more relaxing than working with him as a director

Shahid Kapoor is presently one of Bollywood’s most popular actors. The actor is gearing up for the release of his movie Jersey, which he will star in with Mrunal Thakur. He is leaving no stone unturned in marketing his picture and has been doing it for quite some time. Shahid has often mentioned his father, Pankaj Kapur, as a collaborator. The seasoned actor is one among Bollywood’s best, and in Jersey, we’ll get to witness the father-son combination sharing screen time. The Kabir Singh actor recently spoke with CNN-News18 on the amazing experience he had working on this film with his father.

Shahid Kapoor was perplexed when asked if he has any resemblance with his father Pankaj Kapur. Mrunal Thakur boldly said that they are much different. Shahid admitted that playing beside his father was scary for him, but he noted that it is only intimidating if you attempt to compete; otherwise, there is so much to gain from their expertise.

The actor continued, “Great stuff happens when you stand in the frame with someone and he gives you some energy, and you feel the heat of that energy and respond with a similar kind of honesty and in an organic manner.” Such occurrences, according to Shahid, happen when he shares screen space with his father.

Shahid Kapoor also revealed, “It was easier to act with him than to have him as a director. It was much more relaxed. We used to get time to chill and have a cup of coffee together in between shots.”
