Neetu Kapoor remembered her late husband and actor Rishi Kapoor on his 69th birthday anniversary today (September 4) and summed some fond moments of him. The couple was married for about 40 years and Neetu stayed with him through every thick and thin.
On the occasion of Rishi Kapoor’s 69th birth anniversary, Neetu Kapoor remembered him. The veteran actress shared a heartfelt note for her late husband on Instagram, talking about her wonderful moments with him.
In her post, Neetu Kapoor talked about his final years of battling cancer. She also remembered how they used to celebrate small moments with food and television shows.
“I learnt a lot from Rishi Ji during our last few traumatic years in NYC. How we celebrated when his blood counts were high. We dined shopped laughed .. in his lows we just stayed home watched TV ordered in amazing food n still had some wonderful moments in hope that the next round of chemotherapy he would be better .. hope n being strong is what he taught me .. value each day .. we all miss him today !!! I can picture him how excited he would have been for his 69th birthday !! I’m sure he is celebrating with his family up there. Happy birthday Kapoor Saab,” Neetu Kapoor added.
The makers of Rishi Kapoor’s last film, Sharmaji Namkeen, unveiled its first look poster on his 69th birth anniversary. Neetu also shared the first-look poster on her Instagram stories. The actress also penned a thank you note for actor Paresh Rawal, who stepped in to complete the remaining filming of Sharmaji Namkeen after Rishi Kapoor’s death.
For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and had spent around a year in New York for his treatment. He returned to India in September 2019.
