Ayushmann Khurrana shares emotional association with Prayagraj

Mumbai: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana will soon be going to Prayagraj for the shooting of his upcoming film Doctor G. While this will be his first time shooting for a film in the city, the actor has an emotional and nostalgic relationship with the city.

Ayushmann passed through this city in Uttar Pradesh while he was participating in the hit teen reality TV show Roadies, which he won in 2004.

“I have always wanted to travel the length and breadth of our beautiful country and luckily my work is taking me to incredibly different destinations. I am shooting for a film in Prayagraj for the first time. Incidentally, when I was participating in Roadies, I passed through this city and shot for the series,” said Ayushmann.

Ayushmann that that he was mesmerized by the beauty of Prayagraj while shooting for Roadies Season 2.

“I still remember being mesmerized by its history, heritage and architecture. Prayagraj overlooks the confluence of three rivers – Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati – and I was very impressed by its breathtaking beauty. I will shoot again in this beautiful city and I can. I can’t wait to go back,” he added.

The actor, who made his film debut in 2012 with Vicky Donor, eventually went on to be a part of both critically and commercially successful films. He feels that shooting in Prayagraj will be an emotional experience for him.

“It will bring back a deluge of feelings and nostalgia for me. I will try and take some time out to visit the places where I shot for Roadies to relive my days of struggle and self-confidence. It would be amazing to shoot in a city that made my fortunes early in my career,” the actor said.

Doctor G is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Junglee Pictures.
