Rishi Kapoor’s farewell film Sharmaji Namkeen is praised by Javed Akhtar

Javed Akhtar praised Rishi Kapoor’s performance in Sharmaji Namkeen, his last film. Since March 31st, the movie has been available to watch on an OTT platform. Rishi Kapoor, who played the protagonist Sharmaji inside the film, died in April 2020 after a battle with cancer. Because the experienced actor was unable to complete his previous film, Paresh Rawal stepped in to finish it. And now, Javed Akhtar has sent a beautiful letter for the unique film’s crew.

The lyricist-screenwriter praised the film’s writing and direction on his official Twitter account. He also expressed gratitude to Paresh Rawal for his “unique and significant contribution.” Rishi Kapoor, according to Akhtar, has smashed the final ball out of the stadium. According to Javed Akhtar’s tweet, “Watched Sharma ji Namkeen . So well  written and directed . Thank you Paresh Rawal saheb for your most unusual and great contribution . Now my friend Chintu , ultimately it is your show . You have hit the last ball out of the stadium . Tell me ,why we all won’t miss you for ever”.

Sharmaji, a retired professional who finds delight in cooking, is the subject of Hitesh Bhatia’s film. His family is humiliated by his new employment as he follows his vocation as a cook with a kitten group and befriends the women. Apart from Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, Juhi Chawla plays a significant role in the film. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment are behind Sharmaji Namkeen.
