9 Releases This Week: Black Doves, Wild Horse Nine and More

From Wild Horse Nine and Stray Kids in theaters to Black Doves season 2 and The Greatest on streaming, here are all nine releases this week.

9 New Films and Shows Streaming and in Theaters This Week

The first full week of November brings a crowded release calendar, with nine films and series arriving between November 2 and November 8 across cinemas and major streaming platforms. If you have been waiting for a reason to clear your queue, this is the week to do it.

Three titles are heading to theaters, led by Martin McDonagh’s latest and a special K-pop concert event. On the streaming side, Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video and MGM+ are dropping new seasons and originals that cover spy thrills, sports drama, holiday comedy and Korean romance.

The theatrical slate

Wild Horse Nine (November 6) brings John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi and Parker Posey into a dark comedy thriller. Malkovich plays an ailing officer sent to Easter Island with his longtime partner, where a bond with two rebellious students upends a mission already tangled in buried secrets and conspiracies.

Dante, a Spanish-language thriller also opening November 6, follows a night-shift ambulance technician whose call to a dying man leaves him fighting to make it through the night.

Stray Kids: Run It arrives November 7 and puts a special live performance from Tokyo Dome on global movie screens for the first time.

Streaming arrivals to add now

Here is where the week gets busy:

  • A Dog’s Perfect Christmas (Netflix, November 4): a holiday comedy narrated by a determined basset hound trying to reunite a family before Christmas Eve.
  • Stick Season 2 (Apple TV, November 4): Owen Wilson’s former golfer Pryce Cahill chases an improbable US Open comeback, with Rhea Seehorn stepping in as his coach.
  • The Greatest (Prime Video, November 4): a biographical sports drama that opens with an 18-year-old Cassius Clay winning Olympic gold in Rome in 1960.
  • Black Doves season 2 (Netflix, November 5): Keira Knightley’s undercover agent races across London and Paris as the operation around her unravels.
  • Possible Love (Netflix, November 6): Lee Chang-dong directs Jeon Do-yeon and Sul Kyung-gu in a Korean romance drama about two couples, a strike and rising class tensions.
  • The Institute Season 2 (MGM+ via Prime Video, November 8): Luke Ellis and the psychic children search for a way to destroy the organisation for good.

What to prioritise this week

The week is front-loaded on November 4, so fans juggling a midweek schedule may want to group their streaming around that date. If you are choosing one theatrical outing, Wild Horse Nine offers the most striking pairing of director and cast, while Stray Kids: Run It is the kind of event screening that K-pop fans will want to experience on the biggest screen possible.

For viewers who want variety, this week’s list covers nearly every mood: a tense spy sequel, two sports stories, a holiday comfort watch, a Korean romance and a psychological horror return. The main decision is less about whether there is something to watch and more about which one goes first.
