Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap End Marriage: “Choosing peace, growth and healing”

Olympian Saina Nehwal and fellow badminton star Parupalli Kashyap have announced their decision to separate, ending nearly seven years of marriage after over a decade together. In an emotional Instagram note, Saina said, “Life leads us in different directions… Kashyap and I have decided to part ways. We’re choosing peace, growth and healing—for ourselves and each other.”

She expressed gratitude for shared memories and requested fans respect their privacy. The couple, who tied the knot in 2018 after meeting at Pullela Gopichand Academy, will continue forward on their own paths. While Saina is already globally recognized for her Olympic bronze and world ranking, Kashyap remains prominent both as a former top player and coach.

Saina did not mention future plans, and Kashyap is yet to comment. For now, fans are reacting with emotional support for both athletes, as they prioritize healing over headlines.
