Diljit Dosanjh Likely To Be Banned in India for Promoting his Film with ‘Pakistani Actor’

Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3 has stirred controversy after the casting of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. In the wake of heightened India-Pakistan tensions — following the Pahalgam terror attack (April 22) and Operation Sindoor (May 7) — the makers have decided to skip the film’s theatrical release in India.
But the main lead Actor took Social media to Promote his film with pictures and posters of him with Pakistani actress.

The move has triggered backlash from industry bodies. Both the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) have condemned the casting decision and are now pushing for a nationwide ban on Diljit Dosanjh’s professional activities in India.

With the film set to release on June 27 internationally, calls to boycott the actor are intensifying. An official ban is likely unless the actor or producers issue a satisfactory explanation, say sources.
