BTS’s seven members — RM, Jimin, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jungkook, as well as V — have extended their contracts through Big Hit Entertainment for another seven years, extending their present contracts that expired in 2019. It extends the band’s relationship with the label through 2026, 13 years after their debut album, 2 Cool 4 Skool, was released in 2013.

“We thank our mentor, producer [and Big Hit founder] Bang Si-Hyuk, who has continued to show us a vision for our future from even before debut and has helped us build our perspective of the world and music,” BTS stated in an emailed statement.

We’ll keep striving to deliver our best for fans all across the world alongside Big Hit Entertainment’s help.”

Big Hit Entertainment stated in a statement, “It is our attitude that we should provide the best to musicians that are experiencing unparalleled worldwide success.” “We chose to renew the contract before the global tour to provide more steady, long-term activities after a comprehensive conversation with seven members of BTS.”

Big Hit also intends to form a dedicated staff to assist and invest in BTS and their future endeavours.

The jubilation from BTS’ ARMY followers pushed the hashtag “7MoreYearsOfBTS” at Twitter’s Worldwide trends list shortly just after the news was released.

The revelation comes at the end of a remarkable year for BTS, who have quickly established themselves as one of the most influential musical artists of this age. The group has smashed several records and sold out events all over the world while preaching a message of self-love and self-actualization, including speaking at the United Nations and being featured on the cover of Time magazine’s worldwide edition as “Next Generation Leaders.”

BTS is presently on their Love Yourself global tour in Europe, and they just made history in the United States by performing a sold-out event at Citi Field on Oct. 6, making them the first Korean artist to perform a solo stadium-sized concert in the nation.
