As per the latest reports coming in, Viral sensation singing star Ranu Mondal will have a Biopic movie of her own. The movie is titled ‘Miss Ranu Maria’ and is said to release next year in the summer. Read below to know more details on the same.
Ranu Mondal of Ranaghat, West Bengal, rose to fame since her videotape of her performing Lata Mangeshkar’s song Ek Pyar Nagma Hai got a lot of attention, due to the accessibility that social media platforms provided. The tape of her performing the song was taken at a train station and immediately went viral, eventually grabbing the attention of many of the country’s most well-known singers.
Himesh Reshammiya backed Ranu Mondal and offered her the opportunity to perform Teri Meri Kahani for the movie Happy Hardy And Heer in 2020. She had also been in a number of reality television shows. Her popularity, however, was short-lived. Her life tale is now being recreated for the big screen. Hrishikesh Mondal will helm Ranu Mondal’s biography, which will star Eshika Dey. ‘Miss Ranu Maria’ is the name of the movie.
Originally, the movie was planned to be made in Bengali. The producers, on the other hand, have chosen to construct it in Hindi. Himesh Reshammiya has also been contacted to collaborate on the film by the producers.
The movie is set to hit theatres in March or April of the next year.
