Her uncle Madhi (Tej Sapru) arranged for them all to marry, but because JB has paid them to do just that. After she declines, JB abducts her as well as imprisons her in his house only until the marriage date.

JB keeps a close eye on her every day in case she attempts to flee. Lalita passes out on the wedding day and utilizes this as an excuse to flee. She also sends her mother away from JB, who believes she was murdered after witnessing her getting run over by a car. Lalita had really switched her wedding gown with somebody, thus the lady JB witnessed getting hit by that the automobile was not Lalita.

Lalita flees the city and encounters Raj (Rishi Kapoor), whom she initially uses as a disguise but now with whom she eventually falls in love. Instead, she goes by the nickname Shikha. Raj’s grandpa, Rai Saheb (Kader Khan), is overjoyed that his grandson wishes to marry Shikha and plans a marriage for them.

Regrettably, JB discovers that Lalita remains alive thanks to her mother and tracks her very fast. With the assistance of her cunning uncle, JB reveals who Lalita truly is to Raj and his grandpa. Lalita is kidnapped and forced to become a good wife, which implies she has had to stay alongside JB for the rest of her life. Lalita intends to take things out of her own arms despite concealing and becoming frustrated.

Govinda was initially asked to play the protagonist beside Madhuri Dixit, however, the project fell through. Following Govinda’s rejection, Jackie Shroff got contacted, but his schedule was obstructed by other commitments. As a consequence, Rishi Kapoor was cast inside the film.

Raj Babbar’s part was given to Kamal Hassan, but he rejected it since he does not even want to portray a villain.
