On November 12th 2020, Veer-Zaara celebrated its 15th anniversary. Preity Zinta came to Instagram to express her feelings at the moment. Inside the movie, the actress plays the part of Zaara, a Pakistani girl who falls in love with such an Indian Air Force officer.
Preity Zinta uploaded the Veer-Zaara tune Main Yaha Hoon as well as commented, “Today, we remember the iconic Veer Zaara – it isn’t just a film, but an era. This is a period of decency, dignity, love, respect, as well as honour. It’s the most unforgettable cinema experience I’ve ever had.”
She commented of the film’s director, saying, “Working with Yash Chopra, the greatest director of all time, who insisted on being called Yash Uncle while he was called Zaara till the day he died. There will never be another film or narrative like this, music like this, director and legend like him, Veer like @iamsrk, or Samiya like Rani. I’m still pinching myself, and I’ll be eternally grateful for being a part of this labour of love. Yash Uncle (sic), I miss you.”
Preity Zinta portrayed Zaara Hayat Khan, while Shah Rukh Khan portrayed Veer Pratap Singh, an Indian Air Force commander, in Veer-Zaara. Rani Mukerji portrayed the character of Saamiya Siddiqui, a lawyer.
Preity Zinta earned her Bollywood début in the 1998 movie Dil Se, which starred Shah Rukh Khan. Both later collaborated on movies such as Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara.
Preity collaborated on a variety of productions alongside Rani Mukerji, including Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, as well as Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. They always have a strong relationship and can be seen having a great time than when they get around.
