Salman Khan has starred in a number of blockbusters during his career, especially since the release of Wanted, which gave him a fresh lease on life (2009). Tiger flicks Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) have a particular place in his career because they were both enormous box office hits and fan favourites. As a result, Tiger 3, the third entry in this series, is eagerly anticipated. When word got out that it was going to be a big, spectacular action film with Emraan Hashmi playing the villain, the excitement level skyrocketed. Unfortunately, the film’s shoot was hampered by the Covid-19 crisis.
The film’s final schedule in Delhi was supposed to start in January 2022, but it was rushed forward when the third wave threw everything off.
Now that the situation has improved and the number of patients has decreased significantly across the board, the final timetable in the National Capital is expected to begin on Monday, February 14. Bollywood Hungama has learned that this is a short timeline and that the spy action thriller will be completed this month.
“The schedule is brief but highly important,” a trade source told Bollywood Hungama. Maneesh Sharma, the director, intends to film in authentic locales, particularly the Red Fort area. It features both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
It’ll be a difficult shoot due to the crowding and also because the makers will be adhering to the Covid safety norms as well. However, the unit members are fully prepared and are raring to go.”
While the exact date is not yet certain, the source said that the shoot in Delhi will be completed by February 20. The source also added, “This will be followed by a patchwork shoot of two days in Mumbai. If all goes well, this shoot should get over by February 27. Hence, the filming of Tiger 3 will be completed before the end of this month.”
Recently, the producers of Tiger 3 – Yash Raj Films (YRF) – announced the new release dates of their upcoming films, Akshay Kumar’s period saga, Prithviraj, and Ranbir Kapoor’s dacoit drama, Shamshera. The moviegoers and trade are now waiting to know when the release date of Tiger 3 will be announced by Aditya Chopra’s production house.
The trade source stated, “It remains to be seen when YRF would bring out Tiger 3. I guess, they also need to consider the release date of their other spy film, Pathan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It needs to come first followed by Tiger 3. However, Pathan’s shooting is still pending. We’ll have to wait for some time and I am sure YRF will make the much-awaited announcement.”
Shah Rukh Khan, who plays Pathan, makes a cameo appearance in Tiger 3. According to rumours, SRK shot his parts in December 2021. Pathan, on the other hand, features a dramatic special appearance by Salman Khan.
