Rohit Shetty Opens Up About The Release Date of Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi

Sooryavanshi is one of the most anticipated movie in Bollywood since the release of Rohit Shetty ‘s Simmba. The upcoming movie is starring Superstar Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

As the film has been delayed for over a year now, fans are curiously waiting for the next release date of the movie. Previously the film was supposed to hit the theatres in March 2020. But then, due to the strict restrictions for the Covid-19, the theatres were shut, and the subsequent release date was scheduled for June 2020. That release didn’t work out as well. The next release date, April 2021, was finalized after the 1st wave of the covid-19 pandemic. On the one hand, where the digital or OTT release replaces the theatrical releases of the films by the producers. Fans are eagerly waiting for the next release date for Akshay’s next. But it seems that the makers, including Rohit Shetty, are waiting for the theatres to open up to release the film.

During the press conference of the upcoming season of Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 on Thursday, July 8. The action director was asked about the release date of his forthcoming movie Sooryavanshi. To which he replied that “The question is when will theatres open up?”. The director further added that “The most important thing is vaccination and when that will happen then everything will open up. However, we should not think that everything is slowly getting okay. We still need to take precautions because even today everything is still not okay. In other countries, the cases are rising. This time we all need to take utmost care and not go on holidays thinking everything is opening up,”.

Whenever the theatres open up, Shetty will release his movie for the audience. With Sooryavanshi, superstar Akshay Kumar will become a part of Rohit’s cop Universe. The first introduction about the film was revealed in the post-credit scene of Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh. In Sooryavanshi’s climax scene, we will see Ajay Devgn from Singham and Ranveer Singh from Simmba with Akshay Kumar.
