Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal’s Song Ye Luthrey will make your weekend ‘savory’

Rishi Kapoor, who died in April 2020, will be seen in Sharmaji Namkeen, his final film. The film, directed by Hitesh Bhatia, is set to hit theatres on March 31 this year, and it will star Paresh Rawal in the role of the late actor. In fact, the creators of Sharmaji Namkeen just released a teaser that had the crowd in tears. Without a doubt, everyone is excited to see Rishi Kapoor’s brilliance one last time on film.

And now, just days before the premiere of Sharmaji Namkeen, the filmmakers have released the first song from the film, which has piqued the interest of fans. The song, titled Ye Luthrey, is about how Sharmaji (played by Rishi and Paresh) is superior to the other males. The video depicts Sharmaji’s passion for cooking, and the song’s foot-tapping rhythm and amusing lyrics are sure to put a smile on your face. “Here’s adding some namkeen to your weekend. #YeLuthrey out now,” producer Farhan Akhtar said on social media, sharing the music.

In terms of Sharmaji Namkeen, it will be Rishi Kapoor’s final appearance in front of the camera. Paresh Rawal stepped into the renowned actor’s footsteps to finish the production when he went away before it could be completed. Rishi’s son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, claimed ahead of the trailer’s release that he was considered to finish the production using prosthetics and VFX, but still nothing worked out. Sharmaji Namkeen has become one of his father’s favourite memories, according to him.
