Mersal is indeed a 2017 Tamil action thriller film directed by Atlee, who also co-wrote its screenplay with K. V. Vijayendra Prasad as well as S. Ramana Girivasan. This movie, which marks Thenandal Studio Limited’s 100th production, features Vijay in three roles with S. J. Surya, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, as well as Vadivelu.

HGC Entertainment distributed the movie in China on December 6, 2018. Based on popular demand, the picture was exhibited at Europe’s largest theatre, the Grand Rex in France. The movie was shown at the Hainan International Film Festival in China as well as the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea.
The Soundtrack of the movie-
Mersal’s soundtrack album, as well as background score, were created by A. R. Rahman, who collaborated with Vijay for such third time following his movies Udhaya (2004) and Azhagiya Tamizh Magan (2007), as well as his first collaboration alongside Atlee.
