After Kranti and Naseeb, it was the third highest-grossing film of 1981. It did about 7.2 billion rupees in commerce in India, with a distributor share of around 3.50 billion rupees.

The plot of the movie ‘love Story’-

Vijay Mehra (Rajendra Kumar) is a rich builder who has feelings for Suman (Vidya Sinha), who has feelings for Vijay as well. Danny Denzongpa plays Ram Dogra, a civil engineer who adores Suman. In college, Ram and Suman were buddies.

However, Vijay marries another girl because he is envious of Ram and Suman’s relationship, and Suman marries Ram, but Vijay’s wife dies after giving birth to a baby boy named Bunty, while Suman and Ram receive a baby girl named Pinky.

Bunty (Kumar Gaurav) and Pinky (Vijeta Pandit) meet as strangers years later; Vijay wanted Bunty to join him as both a builder, while Bunty aspires to become a pilot, so Bunty leaves home, while Pinky leaves the house since her parents wanted her to marry.

Bunty and Pinky reunite, but Hawaldar Sher Singh (Amjad Khan), the man tasked with locating the missing boy and girl, binds them together. After a series of events, both fall in love with each other, and they travel to an unknown location where they build a little cottage and live happily ever after.

But not in the future. Ram arrives on the scene and violently removes Pinky. Vijay is now prepared to accept his son’s affection, but Ram intends to marry his daughter against her will.

Bunty and Pinky flee home once more but are pursued by a band of thieves. Suddenly, Vijay and Ram arrive to defend their children, and Bunty saves Ram’s life. Ram alters his thoughts, and Bunty and Pinky marry within the end.

Love Story is among the most popular movies in Bollywood history, thanks to Bunty and Pinky’s naive adolescent love. Kumar Gaurav and Vijayta Pandit’s acting careers in Bollywood were boosted by the movie.
