Lakshmi: All you need to know about this Tamil musical dance movie

L. Vijay wrote and directed Lakshmi, a 2018 Indian Tamil-language musical dance movie. Ditya Bhande plays the main character, alongside Prabhu Deva and Aishwarya Rajesh in supporting parts, and Salman Yusuff Khan and Karunakaran in supporting roles. The movie includes music created by Sam C. S. and cinematography by Nirav Shah, and is produced by Prateek Chakravorty, Shruti Nallappa, and R. Ravindran underneath the brand of Pramod Films and Trident Arts. The movie, which is based here on the goddess Lakshmi, was released here on eve of Varalakshmi Vratam on August 24, 2018.

Lakshmi, ten years old, lives as well as breathes “dancing” and dreams of winning the national level dance competition “Pride of Life India Jr.” Nandini, her single mother, on the other hand, despises music and dancing. Lakshmi soon strikes an odd friendship with the patrons of a cafe near her school. Lakshmi comes in because she like the music that is playing in the store, but she quickly becomes a frequent visitor. When Vijay Krishna aka VK is charmed by her actions, he greets her, followed hesitantly by waiter Azhagu. VK is moved by Lakshmi’s plight, and he agrees to help her realise her aspirations by impersonating her father.

With VK’s support, she quickly enrols in a dancing institution that teaches and chooses pupils for a nationwide competition. She quickly becomes friends with many of the academy’s pupils and earns a good reputation. Another of the pupils, Arjun, is the son of Sofia, the dancing master. She quickly joins the academy’s representative team.

Lakshmi has cold feet on the day of the selections as well as fails to perform due to stage fright, resulting in her team’s disqualification. Sofia (Arjun’s mother), her dancing instructor, is enraged and tells her to leave and just never return. When VK learns about this, he goes to the selection arena and asks for another opportunity for Lakshmi.

VK was a dancer who competed in Pride of India in 2005 but was unable to go to the finals due to the accident that put him into a coma. When the chairman of the selection, Yusuf Khan, sees VK, he accepts as well as offers Lakshmi and her squad a spot inside the competition provided he agrees to become the team’s coach with Sofia. Yusuf was annoyed by VK’s popularity at the Pride of India 2005, and his jealously of him may have prompted him to make this offer since it allows him to beat VK with his own dance side this weekend.

Krishna accepts the position of coach and therefore is willing to assist the squad. Before VK’s team plays in one of the rounds, the youngsters on Yusuf’s team drop pins on the stage. Due to the discomfort from the sharp pins, Lakshmi and Arjun shine together during love dance however struggle with the rest of their squad. They all finish the dance, but there are bloodstains all over them towards the end. VK and Sophia appear to be the only ones who are aware of the situation. They make it to the last round despite being in excruciating pain from the pins.

The opponents who strewn the pins are remorseful and apologise. Nandini arrives at the practise location later, while VK’s squad is preparing for the final. Lakshmi was enraged because she was forced to participate without her consent. After that, she meets VK, who turns out to be Nandini’s husband as well as Lakshmi’s father. Their breakup was triggered by his excessive passion to dancing. Nandini storms out of the room, dragging Laksmi with her. Lakshmi makes an attempt to return. As a result, a vehicle carrying gas cylinders explodes in an accident.

VK saves Lakshmi from further injury. Lakshmi, on the other hand, is hurried to the hospital, where Nandini and VK discover that she has lost her hearing. She is not permitted to act, but she inquires as to why she is unable to do so, given that she has lost her hearing rather than her legs. She continues to astound everyone by still getting on stage fully dressed and ready to dance. The crowd is taken aback by her ability to dance while not hearing the music. VK is shown in the audience, standing in the middle and imitating the dance for her. When VK is constrained and unable to imitate Lakshmi’s dance motions, he is startled to watch Lakshmi continue to dance.

He then witnesses Yusuf counting the beats for her so she may dance in time without hearing the music, as well as his team’s children aiding VK’s team’s children in keeping back the men attempting to prevent VK from assisting Lakshmi in her dance. Lakshmi is crowned “Pride of Life India Jr.” at the end.
