Is the war movie copied from Hollywood?

The cast of War, which includes Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, as well as Vaani Kapoor, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in October. It fared rather well at the movie office, grossing more than 300 crores. Many people are unaware, however, of how the movie’s primary elements were ripped off from a Hollywood blockbuster.

Without even bothering to think about the title, the movie’s creators opted to borrow elements from such a Hollywood action picture titled War. There are minor spoilers ahead; nonetheless, you will not be harmed in any way because the action moments are what count.

Tiger Shroff’s character in the Bollywood film is shown doing something with plastic surgery. Even the twist was taken straight from such a Hollywood film, using the same viewpoint. If we go by the standard Hollywood action pictures, Hrithik Roshan’s character goes rogue inside the movie, and that this aspect is prevalent in them, it would have been okay.

However, even Hollywood’s War shares the same viewpoint, making the Bollywood one much more chaotic.

This is a flagrant waste of skilled writers in the industry because many of them are capable of producing fresh content for a film of this size. A major production business like Yash Raj Films should keep an eye on these things and prohibit its filmmakers from plagiarising.

On Gandhi Jayanti’s 5-day extended holiday on October 2, 2019, War, a movie with a budget of Rupees 1.70 billion (US$23 million), opened in conventional, 4DX, and MX4D theatres throughout the world. It received relatively positive reviews from reviewers and audiences, with praise for Roshan and Shroff’s performances, visual effects, action sequences, and the song “Jai Jai Shivshankar.” However, the writing and lack of inventiveness were criticised heavily.

In 2019, Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films released War, a Hindi-language action thriller movie directed by Siddharth Anand as well as produced by him. In addition to Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, the cast also includes Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Anupriya Goenka, and Soni Razdan.
