Tere Bin Laden

Tere Bin Laden is a 2010 Indian satire comedy-drama movie directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Walkwater Media. In his desperate attempt to immigrate to the United States, a youthful Pakistani reporter creates a phoney Osama bin Laden video with a look-alike and distributes it to television stations. Pradhuman Singh portrayed Osama bin Laden. The movie is a parody of Osama Bin Laden and also a comedic satire on America’s war on terror and post-9/11 circumstances. On July 16, 2010, the movie was released globally, with the exception of the United States and Pakistan.

Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive, a sequel, was published in 2016.

The plot of the movie states as, Ali Hassan (Ali Zafar) works as a reporter for Danka TV in Karachi, Pakistan, a low-budget local television station. He wants to move to the United States for a brighter life and career for just an American news station. He takes the opportunity to go to the United States, but he destroys it by shooting his own test just on a plane. He repeatedly utters the terms “hijack” and “bomb,” frightening his fellow commuters and flight staff. He is expelled as quickly as he enters the United States. Moreover, his visa application has been denied six times within the last seven years as a result of this occurrence.

He meets an Osama Bin Laden doppelganger, Noora (Pradhuman Singh), during reporting a community event for his station, and came up with the idea to produce a phoney Osama recording. He persuades his subordinate Gul (Nikhil Ratnaparkhi) of the benefits of his scheme. He is able to produce the recording with the aid of his travel agent’s employee Zoya (Sugandha Garg) as well as a local radio jockey Qureshi (Rahul Singh) by duping Noora into unwittingly masquerading as Bin Laden. He subsequently sells the recording to his channel’s owner in order to gather funds for a new phoney identity, a new passport, and another try at obtaining the coveted US visa.

When the US government, as well as Pakistani intelligence services, takes the video carefully and become engaged, they realise the severity of their actions. Noora, too, learns of the ruse perpetrated on him and flees to his home. Ali resolves to diffuse the issue by creating a new video wherein Osama declares a truce with the United States. He is able to persuade Noora and Qureshi. Noora unintentionally detonates a grenade during the taping of the video at the Danka TV studio, killing his prize rooster. Noora, depressed, flees the scene with Osama’s disguise still there, prompting Ali and his colleagues to fall into line.

However, an FBI team commanded by Ted Wood (Barry John) and Usman (Chinmay Mandlekar), the Pakistani intelligence agency’s leader, searches down Ali and his team’s whereabouts. Noora, Ali, and his squad are apprehended by the police. Ted is ecstatic about the prospect of finally apprehending Osama bin Laden. As during questioning, nevertheless, the reality is discovered, and in order can save Ted’s face, Ali persuades them to make a recording of Osama proclaiming a truce. The movie concludes with the United States embracing the ceasefire proposal and Ted being elected as Defense Secretary. Ali is finally able to travel to the United States, and Noora transforms his life as well, marrying Zoya and assisting her in her beauty salon.
