Irrfan Khan was a co-star in Karwaan, and Dulquer Salmaan recalls him as being ‘extremely friendly’ to actors

The most recent film starring Dulquer Salmaan is Chup: Revenge of the Artist, which was made by R Balki.

Dulquer Salmaan has had a fantastic year as a film actor. He just had two films released: Sita Ramam and yesterday’s Chup: The Revenge of the Artist. After the 2019 film The Zoya Factor, Dulquer returns to Hindi cinema with the R. Balki-directed flick. The actor, however, made his Bollywood debut a year earlier with the film Karwaan, in which he appeared with Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. In a recent interview, Dulquer praised Irrfan as he recalled the late musician.

Dulquer recalled his interactions with Irrfan Khan. He claimed that the late actor was a person who enjoyed his work a lot. He continued by saying that despite Irrfan’s propensity for improvising, he was considerate of other performers and always gave them a heads-up. “He improvises a lot, but he is very kind to actors. There are so many sometimes (when) an actor can be selfish. They will only care about getting their scenes right only. But Irrfan sir is chill. He will be like ‘hey, I might just say something here.’ So we will be like, ‘Haan sir, okay. So I and Mithila will be prepared. He will say, ‘I might throw something here haa, just giving you a heads up.’ But more or less we will know what he is going to do. He didn’t throw too many surprises. If he does, it’s to get a nice reaction from us. It’s very sweet that way,” the Salute actor said.

In Chup: Revenge of the Artist, in addition to Dulquer, Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary make appearances. On September 23, it had its theatrical debut. The crowd was captivated by the psychological thriller’s newly released trailer. The narrative is a tribute to the legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt, who is credited with creating Indian cinematic classics such as Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Chaudhvin Ka Chaand, Mr & Mrs 55, and others.
