Entertainment: All you need to know about this Akshay Kumar starrer film

Entertainment is indeed a 2014 Bollywood Hindi-language action comedy film directed by famed screenwriting team Sajid-Farhad and produced by Tips Industries Limited’s Ramesh S. Taurani. The movie stars Junior – The Wonder Dog as the eponymous protagonist as well as Akshay Kumar in prominent roles, with Tamannaah, Mithun Chakraborty, Johnny Lever, Prakash Raj, and Sonu Sood, and is inspired by an original narrative by K. Subash. On August 8, 2014, the movie was released.

The movie begins with Akhil Lokhande (Akshay Kumar) being paid for doing such an advertisement, wherein he gets into such a fight since he wasn’t given the entire amount that they had promised. This pattern continues with a few subsequent tasks, wherein Akhil is consistently underpaid, leading to a dispute, which he stops when he receives a phone call saying he needs to go elsewhere. He then shows up on a set where Sakshi (Tamannaah) is filming for her television show. They go for a walk around the park after her shot, observing other couples. Akhil proposes to Saakshi towards the conclusion of their walk. Akhil and Saakshi travel to her father’s (Mithun Chakraborty’s) residence, in which they are informed that Akhil cannot marry Saakshi until he gets wealthy.

Akhil visits the shop of his motion picture friend Jugnu (Krushna Abhishek). He informs him that he is going to see his father in the hospital since he is suffering from chest trouble. His father, Mr Lokhande (Darshan Jariwala), on the other hand, is acting and dancing around with the nurse, only remaining at the hospital because it offers service comparable to a 5-star hotel. Akhil comes just in time to hear and witness this and proceeds to beat up Mr Lokhande when he confesses that Akhil is adopted and that his original father wasn’t ready for a kid, so his mother fled, but was murdered in a train catastrophe. Fortunately, Akhil lived, and when the railway authorities offered one lakh rupees to families with even one member who died, he adopted Akhil to collect the money.

In a fit of wrath, Akhil beats him up. He returns to his residence and unlocks a box he has never seen before, which includes love letters from his biological father to his mother, as well as a locket with images of his father and mother. He learns that his father is Pannalal Johri (Dalip Tahil), a Bangkok millionaire. Just as he discovers this, he learns on television that Pannalal Johri has died and that his 30 billion rupees ($480,000,000 in 2014) would be distributed to everyone who can show they are connected to Pannalal Johri.

When Akhil arrives at his father’s house in Bangkok, Pannalal Johri’s lawyer (Johny Lever) informs him that the owner of Johri’s property is a dog named ‘Entertainment,’ who is actually Johri’s beloved dog. He informs Jugnu of this, and they attempt to murder Entertainment by having Akhil become Entertainment’s carer, but fail. When Saakshi and her father arrive at the estate, they realise that Entertainment is the heir, prompting the father to proclaim that Saakshi would never marry Akhil. At this point, two brothers, Karan Johri (Prakash Raj) and Arjun Johri (Sonu Sood), Johri’s second cousins, escape from jail.

Karan as well as Arjun really would like to kill Akhil since they believe the dog would die inside a couple of years anyhow, so as Akhil is attempting to kill Entertainment, they drown him in a thinly iced lake. Karan and Arjun both fall to the ground at the same time, nearly drowning Akhil, but Entertainment saves the former and falls into the water instead. Despite his best attempts, Akhil is unable to save Entertainment, but he does emerge from the sea alive. Akhil regrets his error and discovers that Entertainment is a kind-hearted dog, so he befriends him and leaves the house.

Karan and Arjun purchase the property from Entertainment inadvertently, claiming their legal ties.

When Akhil learns about this, he returns. He swears he’ll reclaim the property for Entertainment. Akhil’s strategy is to split and conquer the two brothers. He gets a position as a servant at the house, which is now owned by Karan and Arjun. Akhil tries to divide the two brothers by first introducing Saakshi, who seduces each brother separately. The strategy, however, fails. Akhil tries to divide the two brothers once more, this time by creating the illusion of a spirit of Entertainment the dog. The two brothers argue and accuse each other of impersonating Entertainment and duping the other. Akhil’s buddies secretly record this talk on a CD; however, the CD is accidentally dropped, and Karan and Arjun understand that everything was arranged by Akhil.

The CD contains entertainment. Karan, Arjun, and their group are on the hunt for the dog, Akhil, and his buddies. Akhil triumphs over all of them. Karan later fires Akhil, but Entertainment deflects the bullet by leaping in front of him. Akhil becomes enraged and beats Karan black and blue.

Entertainment is transported to the hospital but is unable to regain consciousness. In a fit of rage, Akhil hits him, but in the process, he saves him. Karan and Arjun come to repent to Entertainment, who accepts their apology as well as forgives them. In the same ceremony, Saakshi’s father marries Akhil and Saakshi, whereas Entertainment marries a female dog. This video concludes by demonstrating that Akhil Johri and Saakshi Johri enjoy a life with Entertainment and his wife (the female dog), both of whom have children, and lastly by demonstrating the societal message. If you love your dogs, they will keep you entertained for the rest of your life.
