Degrassi Goes Hollywood is indeed a 2009 Canadian movie version of Degrassi: The Next Generation, a famous and long-running adolescent drama. The film debuted on The N inside the United States on August 14, 2009, as well as on CTV in Canada on August 30, 2009. Stefan Brogren, a renowned Degrassi actor-director, helmed it. Degrassi Goes Hollywood will be the first feature-length movie featuring the Next Generation ensemble, as well as the second motion picture inside the Degrassi franchise, with Brogren co-starring in 1992’s School’s Out. Degrassi Goes Hollywood is the very first Degrassi production to be recorded in its entirety and set mostly outside of Canada.

The movie was shown as a four-part episode named “Paradise City” for syndication reasons.

On September 1, 2009, an expanded version of the movie was published as a bonus upon that season 8 DVD of the programme.

The cast of Degrassi: The Next Generation flies to Los Angeles, California to try to live to realize their dreams, even as the title indicates. Paige Michalchuk lands a prominent role inside a Hollywood movie directed by Jason Mewes concerning his high school narrative as well as the lady of his dreams, Trixie, whereas Manny Santos pursues her career as an actor. Despite years of tumult, Craig Manning and Ellie Nash’s turbulent relationship continued to deepen.

Nevertheless, Peter, Danny, and Sav’s band, Stüdz, appears to be on the verge of breaking through.

To maintain production costs down, the majority of the shooting took place in Toronto, Canada, rather than Hollywood, California. Adamo, Stacey, Lauren, Jake, and Jason shot across both locales, but the rest of the cast exclusively shot in Canada. The studio sequences were shot within Degrassi’s usual production schedule in Toronto, whereas the outdoor Los Angeles shots were shot on location in much less than a week. Neither Canada, as well as Los Angeles, were used to film Paige’s estate.

The soundtrack album Degrassi Goes Hollywood: Music as from Original Movie was published on CD on August 4, 2009, and also as a digital download on August 25, 2009. It includes five original music performances by Cassie Steele and Jake Epstein, as well as tracks by lesser-known Canadian artists. Several of the songs upon that had already been heard on the programme, rendering this one the eighth season soundtrack as well.
