Billu Barber

Billu, also known as Billu Barber, is indeed a 2009 Indian Bollywood comedy-drama film directed by Priyadarshan as well as produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and released by Eros International. It has an original screenplay by Manisha Korde and Mushtaq Sheikh inspired by such a script by Sreenivasan. It features Irrfan Khan as well as Lara Dutta, as well as Om Puri, Asrani, and Rajpal Yadav in secondary roles, while Shah Rukh Khan makes a cameo appearance. In serial numbers, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, as well as Deepika Padukone makes cameo cameos. On February 13, 2009, the movie was released globally.

That’s a remake of the widely acclaimed Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol from 2007. This is also a retelling of Sudama and Krishna’s narrative. The movie opened at the Hawaii International Film Festival in 2009.

Shah Rukh Khan as well as Lara Dutta play significant parts in director Priyadarshan’s flick. Whereas these parts were first promised to Akshay Kumar and Tabu, both Kumar and Tabu subsequently declined. The filmmaker subsequently proposed Shahrukh Khan and Amisha Patel the roles of Kumar and Tabu, accordingly, and each of them accepted. Patel also has backed out from the project, with rumours claiming the Juhi Chawla has been cast inside the lead role.

In April 2008, the filmmaker said that Lara Dutta will play Billu’s wife. “The movie is a wonderful narrative of friendship…quite comparable to the relationship shared by Krishna and Sudama,” Shahrukh Khan said of the movie, which started filming on April 8, 2008. In addition to Shahrukh Khan, the movie features Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, as well as Deepika Padukone in item numbers.

The album for Billu was released on January 5, 2009, as well as features music by Pritam and lyrics by Gulzar, Neeraj Shridhar, Sayeed Quadri, Ashish Pandit, and Mayur Puri.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya, a playback singer who has lent his voice to Shahrukh Khan in a number of films, performed the album “Khudaya Khair.” The song was dropped and only utilised as a replayed version due to the continuing disagreement between Abhijeet and SRK. Serbian pop artist Anabela sampled the song “Love Mera Hit Hit” in her song “Igra Istine,” Serbian singer Dejan Stankovi sampled it in his song “Kaligula,” and Macedonian singer Boki 13 sampled this in his song “Kaligula.”

The movie was initially named Billu Barber, however, the word “barber” was deemed offensive by Bandra’s salon as well as beauty parlour connections. Shah Rukh Khan, like that of the head of the movie’s production business, subsequently dropped the term from the title and promotional materials, renaming the movie Billu. In order to appease the membership of ‘The Hairdressers’ Association of Mumbai,’ he reportedly asked everyone towards the premiere of the film.
