Maharshi is indeed a 2019 Telugu action drama film written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally and co-produced by Dil Raju, C. Ashwini Dutt, Prasad V. Potluri, and Param V. Potluri under their respective production firms Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies, and PVP Cinema. Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde, and Allari Naresh appear in the movie, which also features Jagapathi Babu, Kaikala Satyanarayana, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Prakash Raj, and Jayasudha. Devi Sri Prasad created the movie’s music and score, whereas K. U. Mohanan and Praveen K. L. handled cinematography as well as editing, correspondingly. On May 9, 2019, the movie was released.
Rishi (Babu), an American NRI businessman as well as CEO of a US-based IT firm, is the protagonist of the storey. When his buddy Ravi (Naresh) draws his attention to the situation of underprivileged farmers, he decides to aid them. The film, which had a production expenditure of 100–130 crore and a worldwide total of 145–200 crore, was the third highest-grossing Telugu movie of the year.
Critics had conflicting feelings about Maharshi. The movie’s sluggish and long narrative was panned, despite Babu’s acting, the storey, as well as emotional parts being commended.
The movie is one of Telugu’s highest-grossing movies. Maharshi was nominated for two National Film Awards, one for Best Popular Movie Providing Wholesome Entertainment and the other for Best Choreography. In addition, the film has received five South Indian International Movie Prizes as well as two Zee Cine Awards Telugu awards.
Devi Sri Prasad created the soundtrack album as well as background music for the movie. Sri Mani wrote all of the lyrics. On May 1, 2019, the movie’s whole soundtrack CD was unveiled during a pre-release event, in which several musicians played the tracks.
