As per the reports, actor Ashutosh Rana who has embraced his presence on-screen with his tremendous performances in several movies will now return to relive one of his character again, from the 2019 released film, ‘War’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Read below to know more details.
Pathan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is currently in production. Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Dimple Kapadia star in the film. Another well-known actor has now joined the cast. Ashutosh Rana, who played a senior RAW officer in the Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff-starrer War, will reprise his role in Pathan. While SRK portrays a RAW officer, Kapadia is the director of India’s foreign intelligence agency.
Ashutosh Rana’s casting fits into Aditya Chopra’s spy thrillers’ multi-crossover scheme. Colonel Sunil Luthra, RAW joint secretary, was played by Ashutosh in War. He just finished filming key scenes with Dimple Kapadia and Shah Rukh Khan. According to a newspaper, the actor would be the mastermind alongside Kapadia, who will be in charge of the mission that will pit SRK against John Abraham. The goal is to keep them on as senior authorities in future thriller projects.

Meanwhile, the search for a suitable replacement for Salman Khan’s boss in Tiger 3 is underway. The position of RAW chief, Dr. Shenoy, was formerly played by playwright-actor Girish Karnad. The crossover is part of a larger picture that includes Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan participating in each other’s flicks, as well as plans to feature in War 2 and other films.
The Yash Raj Film will be featuring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The actors are set to start shooting in the next few days. A sizeable portion of the film will be shot in this schedule before the team heads to international locations to shoot the big action.
