Owen Wilson has said that he will be returning for Loki Season 2

In a recent interview, Owen Wilson, who plays TVA agent Mobius in the Disney+ Marvel series Loki, announced that he will be reprising his role in the next season of the Tom Hiddleston starring series, which is set to begin production “very soon.”

“Is Owen Wilson going back to Loki?” he was asked during his recent WIRED’s “Auto-Complete Interview,” in which he answered the most searched questions about himself. “Yes, he is returning to ‘Loki,” the actor said nervously. And I believe we’ll begin filming it very shortly.”

“I had a great time working on ‘Loki.’ I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that,” he added.

Although the first season ended on such a cliffhanger in July, keeping fans eagerly awaiting word on the second, they may now cheer as it looks like season two will begin filming soon. The plot of Loki season 2 has yet to be revealed, but Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief Loki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, and Owen Wilson as Mobius are all expected to return.

As Collider points out, the last time we saw Loki, his other half Sylvie betrayed him, causing the real timeline to be destroyed. When Loki returns to the TVA, he is sent to an alternate timeline in which he and Mobius do not become friends, so it will be fascinating to watch where the storey goes from there.

Loki is indeed a television series centred upon that Marvel Comics superhero of the same title produced by Michael Waldron for such a Disney+ streaming service. It’s indeed Marvel Studios’ third television series set inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and it follows the events of the films in the series. The series picks up just after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), whereby an alternative version of Loki rewrote history.
