film of India

Talking about the first 70mm film of India, ‘Sholay,’ released in 1975, is usually the response to the aforementioned question. Everyone assumed it was true since it was such a big box office smash. Director Pachhi’s ‘Around The World’ (1967) was the first Indian film to be released in the 70mm widescreen format, as well as the first to have a magnetic, six-track stereophonic audio.

‘Across The World,’ a romantic comedy, starred Raj Kapoor as an Indian who goes around the world on $8. Rajshree, Ameeta, Om Prakash, and Mehmood also appeared in the film.

The story the film follows as When an employee sabotages a young millionaire’s trip plans, he is left stranded. Now stranded in Japan with just $8, he manages to find work on a cruise ship and meets a lovely woman.

At the box office, the picture was a financial flop. In 1977, Kapoor told India Today that he hated the picture and that he appeared in it for money because “like Orson Welles, I had to act in lousy films in order to produce excellent ones myself.”

When it comes to the principal actor, Raj Kapoor, It was a Hindi film actor, producer, and director from India. In India, he earned many awards, including three National Film Awards and eleven Filmfare Awards.

Kapoor gets honoured with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. His films Awaara (1951) and Boot Polish (1953) were both nominated for the Palme d’Or top award at the Cannes Film Festival (1954). Time magazine named his performance in Awaara as one of the top ten best performances of all time. His films drew viewers from all over the world, notably in Asia and Europe.
