On Friday Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani has been arrested by the Narcostis Control and sent to 14-day judicial custody. As per reports, news agency ANI, Siddharth was arrested in connection with the drug case.
Sushant’s friend Siddharth Pithani was among the four who were present at the late actor’s house in Mumbai when he was found hanging in his room on June 14. He was arrested by the anti-drugs agency in Hyderabad and brought to Mumbai, where a court sent him to judicial custody. Police had gone searching for him. After Sushant’s death, Siddharth was called for several rounds of questioning by the NCB. Later, Sushant’s friend had also deleted his Instagram account.
The NCB also arrested drug peddler Haris Khan in connection with the same. He has links with gangsters and drug peddler Parvez Khan alias Chinku Pathan, an associate of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Earlier, the NCB had questioned the two workers of Sushant in the drug case. The workers came on the radar of the NCB after Pithani was arrested. According to his statement, Pithani was the first person to see the actor hanging body on June 14, 2020.
Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, were also charged in the drugs case that linked with the investigation of Sushant Rajput’s death. The NCB started an investigation in the case after her phone had Whatsapp chats involving the buying of drugs for the actor. Staff members including Samuel Miranda, Deepesh Sawant, were arrested in connection with this case and the NCB revealed that many have disclosed that Siddharth was also involved in drugs.
