On Friday, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Siddharth Pithani was arrested in the drug case that connected to the late actor’s death. Sushant’s friend was arrested from Hyderabad under section 28, 29 and 27 A by the investigating agency, NCB.
Sameer Wankhede, who is in charge of Mumbai Zonal Unit, NCB confirms, “Siddharth Pithani has been arrested and he will shortly produce in court.” As per the reports, Siddharth Pithani has been arrested in the drug case which the NCB has been probing for six months now. Earlier, Sushant’s friend has been questioned several times by the NCB. This development has come in weeks before Sushant Singh Rajput’s first death anniversary, June 14.
Late actor Sushant’s friend Sidharth Pithani, was one of the first witnesses to see Sushant hanging from the ceiling on June 14. He was the first to see his dead body, having called the locksmith to open the door when the late actor did not answer calls on the day of his death.
Earlier, Sidharth had been questioned several times by the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation, which are probing the case registered by Bihar Police, on Sushant’s after KK Singh’ complaint, against Rhea Chakraborty.
Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, were also charged in the drugs case that linked with the investigation of Sushant Rajput’s death.
