Shahrukh Khan turns Kabir Khan to wish Indian Women’s Hockey Team

New Delhi: The Indian women’s hockey team has won a landslide victory in the Tokyo Olympics. India defeated Australia 1-0 in the quarter-final match on Monday to make their place in the semi-finals in a tremendous way. After this spectacular victory, the coach of all women’s team is calling Sjoerd Marijne as Shahrukh Khan.

At the same time, Shahrukh Khan wished on his Twitter handle to encourage the team and coach Sjoerd Marijne, which is becoming viral.

Taking to Twitter the Bollywood superstar said, “Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back….for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan.”

The Indian Women’s Hockey Team made history after reaching their first-ever Olympic Semi-Final on Monday. The Indian team played their hearts out and fought toe-to-toe against the World Number 2 Australia and defeated them 1-0 in the Quarter-Final match here at the Oi Hockey Stadium in the Tokyo Olympics. The Indian team were sublime in their attacking and defensive game as Gurjit Kaur (22′) emerged as the only goal-scorer of the match. The Indian team will face off against World Number 5 Argentina in the Semi-Final on Wednesday, on 4 August 2021. Argentina defeated Germany 3-0 in their Quarter-Final match earlier today.

Australia kept most of the ball possession in the opening minutes of the match and created a chance early on in the game, however, the Indian Goalkeeper Savita kept the ball away from the goal. Moments later, the Indian team got close to the goal, but they couldn’t find the back of the net. India continued to put pressure on the Australians. In the 9th minute, Vandana Katariya made a brilliant pass to Rani in the circle, however, the latter couldn’t tap the ball into the goal. Australia made a few circle penetrations in the last few minutes of the first quarter, but they couldn’t find a way to break the deadlock.
