After Jiah committed suicide in 2013, the Hero actor was charged with aiding suicide by Rabia Khan. Sooraj was detained by the Mumbai Police on June 10, 2013, and was later released on bail on July 3.

For the uninitiated, Jiah Khan was discovered by her mother Rabia Khan on June 3, 2013, hanging from the ceiling of her Mumbai home.
