Melissa McCarthy is indeed an actor, comedian, producer, writer, and fashion designer from the United States of America. She has won several awards, including two Primetime Emmys and nominations for two Academy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. McCarthy was named one of Time’s 100 most important people in the world in 2016, and she has been on yearly lists of the world’s highest-paid actresses on several occasions. McCarthy began acting in television and movies in the late 1990s, and she is best known for her role as Sookie St. James on the Gilmore Girls television series. Did she star as Dena on the ABC comedy Samantha Who? before moving to CBS to portray Molly Flynn on Mike & Molly, for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award.
