Hollywood & Highland is a retail centre as well as entertainment complex located on Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Los Angeles’ Hollywood area. Inside the early days of Hollywood, the property was home to the 1902 Hollywood Hotel, where many celebrities stayed. The hotel was destroyed in August 1956, and it has been rebuilt with the twelve-story First Federal Building of the First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Hollywood, a shopping centre, and parking lots, despite the early plans for just a high-rise hotel as well as a department store just on location. These were in place until 1998.
