Shefali is a self-proclaimed foodie who likes cooking in her spare time, as seen by her social media posts during the Covid-19 lockdown. Naturally, the idea of starting a business in the hotel industry was constantly on her mind.
The actress is reportedly planning to launch a fancy, theme-based restaurant called ‘Jalsa’ in the posh neighbourhood of Ahmedabad (Gujarat) with Neha Bassi, a hospitality expert with over two decades of experience.
Jalsa is Shefali’s labour of love and devotion, with every detail – from the decor to the silverware, the recipe to the presentation – overseen and, in many cases, personally accomplished! Shefali offers to the world of eating and hospitality her inherent awareness of the aesthetic and heart-warming parts of the human experience.
Shefali Shah has indeed been busy redesigning the interiors of her films and OTT projects recently, from hand painting certain walls to cheese boards, to fostering an environment that people would adore, to working directly with the chefs and sharing her own recipes to provide an assortment of delights for every palette. While the multifaceted actress is known for being a perfectionist and picky when it comes to her artistic choices, her latest enterprise is a novel idea in the hospitality industry.
