Half Girlfriend

Half Girlfriend is indeed an Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film adapted on Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same title. Arjun Kapoor, as well as Shraddha Kapoor, appear in the movie, which is helmed by Mohit Suri. Vikrant Massey as well as Rhea Chakraborty play pivotal parts inside the movie. The picture did not do well in theatres.

Shooting sites include Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Dumraon, Varanasi, New York City, and Cape Town, as well as principal photography, which began in June 2016. On May 19, 2017, the movie was released globally.

In March of 2016, the movie was put into production. St. Stephen’s College in New Delhi, as well as Times Square as well as the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, were used as filming sites. This is the first Bollywood film to also be filmed on the grounds of the United Nations. Rob Miller, NBA, as well as the ReelSports team, provide the basketball action inside the video. As several of the sequences in the movie need Delhi University students, almost 200 students from various institutions were enlisted to play extras. On April 10th, the trailer was released.

On May 20, 2017, the movie was released in theatres all around the world. The picture grossed 120 million dollars on its first day and 104 million dollars on its second day.

The overall collection for the first weekend was reported to be 320 million dollars. The movie has made a total of 540 million dollars in its second weekend. Its lifetime worldwide earnings are projected to be in the range of 86–90 crores, with 72–77 crores generated in India and 13–14 crores gained outside the country.

Raju Singh created the movie’s score, and that he has for almost all of Mohit Suri’s prior movies. Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishi Rich, Farhan Saeed, Ami Mishra, as well as Rahul Mishra wrote the music for the movie.

Manoj Muntashir, Arafat Mehmood, Tanishk Bagchi, Laado Suwalka, Anushka Shahaney, R. Rekhi, Veronica Mehta, Yash Anand, and Yash Narvekar wrote the lyrics.

Zee Music Company published the album, which features 13 tracks, on April 28, 2017. Other songs also weren’t featured on the CD, but instead were made available following the movie production. “Thodi Der,” a duet between Shreya Ghoshal and Farhan Saeed, is a reimagined version of Saeed’s single with the same name.

The music for Half Girlfriend garnered generally excellent reviews from reviewers and audiences, with particular acclaim for the song “Baarish” and all renditions of “Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga.” “The music of Half Girlfriend is fantastic and there is not a single bad tune in there,” Bollywood Hungama noted, awarding the album four out of five stars.

A couple of tracks at the start seem to repeat themselves, although this might be an attempt to create a more constant tone. Though it’d be dishonest to compare every new soundtrack to Aashiqui 2, as just a solo soundtrack, this is still superior to a majority of the music released thus far in 2017.”
