Who was Shyam Ramsay? – Tap to read details INSIDE

Shyam Ramsay was a Bollywood movie director who lived from 17 May 1952 until 18 September 2019. He was among the Ramsay Brothers, a group of seven brothers who worked in Indian film all through the 1970s and 1980s. Shyam Ramsay was regarded as that the group’s principal artist and leader. Darwaza, Purana Mandir, and Veerana are just a few of the horror films they’ve made.

Ramsay began trying to divert his inventive attention and enthusiasm to tv programming, which was in demand due to the obvious numerous private channels including Zee TV, Star Plus, and others that were initiated in India dates back 1990s. 

For Zee TV, he created India’s first scary television series, Zee Horror Show. That was a great hit, as seen by the numerous groups formed in its honour on social networking sites such as Facebook as well as Orkut by its admirers.

Following Zee Horror Show, he worked for Zee TV on just a few episodes of Saturday Suspense, X Zone, and Nagin. In 2008, he and his daughter, Saasha Ramsay, helmed Neeli Aankhen, a paranormal series on Sahara One centred on the notion of a yearning female snake.
Shyam Ramsay returned to full length movies in 2000, while he began work on Dhund: The Fog, which has been premiered on February 21, 2003.

After that, he directed Ghutan in 2007 and Bachao, a comedic horror film, in 2010. His most recent album, Neighbours, was published in January of 2014.

The maker, who is well renowned for his cult horror flicks, was taken to a Mumbai hospital with pneumonia.

“He was taken to the hospital this morning by family members because he was not feeling well. He died in the hospital from pneumonia “According to PTI, a family told the news agency.  Sasha and Namrata, his two kids, survive him.

He helmed over 30 movies, notably ‘Bandh Darwaza’ as well as ‘Veerana.’ He was born on May 17, 1952. He had also been renowned for his role in the TV show “Zee Horror Show.”

Tulsi Ramsay, another one of the seven brothers, died in December of 2018, before Shyam’s death.
