Prabhu Deva helmed Wanted, a 2009 Bollywood Hindi-language action thriller movie. Salman Khan, Ayesha Takia, and Prakash Raj feature inside the movie, which is an official Hindi version of the Telugu film Pokiri. Vinod Khanna, Mahesh Manjrekar, as well as Inder Kumar, play supporting parts. The movie included special appearances by Prabhu Deva, Govinda, as well as Anil Kapoor. The cinematography was performed by Nirav Shah, and the editing was done by Dilip Deo. Sajid-Wajid created the soundtracks, whereas Salim-Sulaiman was in charge of the background music score.

The movie is slated in Mumbai and follows a gangster who is prepared to do anything for money, especially murder. His killer tendencies attract the attention of two competing gangs, including one that he joins and assists in the execution of competitors. On the other side, he tries to defend his fiancée from a dishonest officer who wants to marry her against her will despite her disapproval of his aggressive conduct.

The movie was released on September 18, 2009, to mostly favourable reviews, with praise for the action scenes, humour, as well as lead cast performances. It was a commercial success, grossing about 94 crores, making this one of the year’s greatest blockbusters.

Three IIFA nominations and one Filmfare Award were given to the movie. Salman Khan’s acting career was revolutionised by his performance inside this movie.

Radhe is a mobster with a shady history who kills people for money. He encounters Jhanvi when she is working out and falls in love with her right away. Despite the fact that Jhanvi first has unfavourable sentiments for Radhe, she eventually begins to reciprocate his love. Nevertheless, Talpade, a greedy and perverted Inspector, has a thing for Jhanvi and forces her to marry him, threatening to rape Jhanvi’s mother if she refuses. Jhanvi’s landlord informs Talpade of Radhe’s presence.

He tries to intimidate Radhe, but after being outsmarted by him, he becomes terrified of him.

Radhe is hired by Gani Bhai, an international don who travels in India for the purpose of assassination. Gani Bhai’s gang is based outside of India. The gang boss of Gani Bhai’s group is Golden Bhai. Datta Pawle’s and Gani Bhai’s gangs are fighting for control of the city of Mumbai. As a result, Commissioner Ashraf Taufiq Khan makes the decision to make Mumbai crime-free. He detains Gani Bhai, who makes many unsuccessful efforts to reach Radhe. After his men abduct his daughter and post an obscene video of her online, Ashraf is blackmailed into releasing Gani Bhai.

His daughter discloses a mission involving an IPS officer, Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, murdering Gani Bhai, while under the influence of narcotics. Gani Bhai kidnaps Rajveer Shekhawat’s father, Shrikant Shekhawat since his identity remains a mystery. Shrikant joyfully tells him about his son while remaining anonymous. Ajay, Rajveer’s adoptive brother, is mistaken for Rajveer Shekhawat by Gani Bhai, who murders him. Gani Bhai realises his error and forces Shrikant to expose Rajveer’s true identity. Gani Bhai murders Shrikant as he refuses to tell him the truth. Rajveer Shekhawat, who is later revealed to be Radhe, arrives at his father’s death scene.

Radhe is furious and vows to revenge his father and brother’s murders. He locates Gani Bhai by threatening Talpade. Radhe succeeds in rescuing Ashraf’s daughter and killing both Gani Bhai and his co-conspirator Talpade after a lengthy battle.

The soundtrack of the movie

Sajid-Wajid composed the movie’s soundtrack. Critics gave the album mediocre to unfavourable reviews, with certain tracks receiving excellent feedback. “Jalwa,” “Love Me Love Me,” and “Le Le Maza Le” were all major hits with the audience.
