For a long time, Ali Fazal as well as Richa Chadha have kept their fans guessing about their wedding dates. The pair was about to plan a wedding when the epidemic intervened. Richa and Ali disclosed in a previous interview that they had been planning a February or March 2022 wedding. Ali Fazal opened up about his wedding preparations inside a recent interview with Pinkvilla.
The Death on the Nile actor sat down with Something to talk about his new Hollywood film, collaborating with Gal Gadot, and much more. Ali Fazal, when questioned about just the February/March wedding excitement, reminded us about his amusing tweet from a few weeks ago.
Revealing whether a date has been set, Ali Fazal said that he and Richa have been busy with “very good distractions”. He said, “It is very flattering that everyone is waiting for us to pinpoint and put a date but in good time. I think we’ve also been busy with our work. There have been very good distractions with all our friends in the industry who are getting married. So I’ve been ‘theek hai yaar, keep the paps busy with that’. Don’t worry. We’ll come at it.”
Earlier reacting to wedding rumours, Ali Fazal had called it “kinda sweet” and tweeted, “but hey, let us do our thing.”
According to an ETimes article, the lovebirds were planning to marry while filming Fukrey 3. They were supposed to take a break from filming, fly to Mumbai, marry, and go back to work. On either front, though, there really is no confirmation.
